I love nail polish. In fact I have probably 100 bottles of the stuff, however I am not allowed to wear it at my job. It is a very sad thing, but when I look at all those little bottles I am reminded why I love them so much even if I cannot wear them. I have so many in different finishes ranging from creme finishes, glitters, micro-shimmers, neons, pastels, darks, and lights. To me nail polish is paint for your nails, as is paint to a canvas. So since I have so many I decided it was time to use some of them. I thought it was time to give my nails a little art!
I came up with these dark navy nails, with a golden triangle on them. And a super hot pink for my accent ring finger. It was very simple, which is great for me, because I am not very skilled when it comes to nail art. I just painted my nails navy blue, with L’oreal’s After Hours and my accent finger with China Glaze’s Shocking Pink . For the golden triangle, I cut them from gold foil origami paper. I then painted a clear top-coat on top and laid the triangle down. Then I used the back of a push pin to help push the gold triangle down so it lays on my nail and bends with it. I used a small pair of scissors to trim around the paper so it fit my nail. Lastly, I finished by sealing everything with one last top coat. And voila! This is what I got!
This is seriously one of the easiest and coolest nail designs I’ve made, although I haven’t done too many! I would recommend wearing these only for a special occasion such as an evening out or to a party, only because the gold paper could wash away if you wash your hands a lot, or in my case doing dishes! How many of you will try these fun navy, hot pink and golden nails?
